'To Be Alive'
2015 – Gifted Ranunculus photographed in the natural Spring light
"Created in the Spring of 2015, I was gifted a huge bucket of left over Ranunculus flowers from a lovely local florist Maggie, who didn't want to see the blooms go to waste. It was a complete gift to work with something so abundant and fresh. Apart from the flowers looking like the yummiest of butter frosting, they felt to me like they were seriously happy to be given the chance to live, even if only for a moment. The little greenish yellow petals swirling ferociously around and around, so excitable and so very happy to be alive".
